Monixbet operates under a Curaçao licence. Here you can learn what this means and how to submit complaints.

Our licence

Under a licence from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, Monixbet Casino operates with licence number OGL/2024/1673/0915. This concerns a recognised gambling jurisdiction that allows casinos to offer online services.

This means that we meet certain standards of Curaçao. We have an RNG (Random Number Generator) that is certified. We carry out KYC checks (Know Your Customer). We handle complaints according to their procedures.

What a Curaçao licence means

This is not a Dutch licence. We do not fall under the KSA (Kansspelautoriteit), the Dutch gambling regulator. The Curaçao authority is less strict than the Dutch one. Consumer protection is lower than what you would have with a Dutch-licensed operator.

This means that if something goes wrong, you do not have the same rights as you would have with a Dutch casino. The Netherlands offers more protection to players. This is something you should understand before you play.

Why Curaçao and not the Netherlands

Dutch licences are expensive and difficult to obtain. Many international operators use Curaçao because it is faster and cheaper. This does not mean that Curaçao is bad – it is just less strict.

Many people play on Curaçao-licensed sites. The system works. But it offers you less protection than Dutch licences.

Our obligations under our licence

With our Curaçao licence, Monixbet must:

  • Use a fair gaming system (certified RNG)
  • Carry out KYC checks (verify who you are)
  • Separate player funds from operational funds (your balance is protected)
  • Handle complaints according to the rules
  • Be accountable to the Curaçao authority
  • Not allow gambling for minors

We do this. But these are not the same rules as Dutch licences.

Get in touch with us via [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can go to the Curaçao authority: the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, contactable by email via their website.

Dutch players can also get in touch with the KSA (Kansspelautoriteit), although they have no direct supervision over Curaçao licences. They can still advise you about your rights.

Our compliance

Monixbet carries out regular audits. Our RNG is certified annually by independent agencies. We pay taxes to Curaçao. We keep our licence in order.

If our licence were to expire or be withdrawn, we would have to close down. This has not happened yet.
